The most beautiful thing is when people walk unexpectedly into your life and you start to hear them tell their story and get inspired. Becca is one of those people. She walked into the studio with so much confidence, sat right down and was ready for pictures. As we started talking, I learned how she’s a young single mom. She has a really great job and is so happy raising her son. I did not realize how young she was! Not by her looks but because when I was her age, I was immature and felt a mess. This girl has so much elegance and composure! I loved getting to meet her and learn about her. She is amazing!

When Cade's mom called me, she was telling me all about Cade! I was excited to get to meet a new senior! Then she mentioned a cow and I was BEYOND excited! All of you know that if it involves a furry animal, I'm all for it. Cade was hilarious during his session. His parents kept pestering him and teasing him so I was able to catch a few good smirks that I will show later on. You'll see Jack, Cade's cow, at fair this year! And I'll be seeing Cade again in the fall!

Mount Vernon, Ohio / Columbus, Ohio Senior Photography || East Knox 2018:

For years, I have heard senior clients and their parents say 'No, studio portraits for seniors are cheesy!'. I can agree that if done right, you can definitely get a 90's studio feel to images that are just not up to par. When Colleen came into my studio, I was determined to work with her to create a set of images that was more Vanity Fair, Rolling Stones, modern day celebrity photo shoot appeal. I wanted to show anyone in doubt of studio portraits that they do not have to be cheesy. 

When Colleen came into my studio yesterday for her reveal, her reaction left me speechless. She kept commenting on how happy she was, recording the slideshow I had made for her on her phone, and afterwards gave me the most heartwarming hug that I really did need over a few bad days I was experiencing!

I hope to get to do more sessions like these. Allowing anyone to come in and have their portraits taken and feel like it's celebrity grade results.

Colleen, thank you for trusting me. Allowing me to dress you, choose colors, style and poses without a single doubt or question. You have been such a blessing. I can't wait to see you do great things sweetheart! <3

Here we are again! Fall arrived and I got to meet up with Sarah again! She brought some incredible outfits with her along with some stories about the first part of of her senior year! I always enjoy seeing Sarah. She is so full of joy and her smile is infectious. I've enjoyed our time together and tahnkful she has allowed me to have such a vital part of her senior year

Sarah came all the way from Upper Sandusky to visit me here in Mount Vernon to kick off her senior portrait experience! Her outfits were amazing! I love the slight boho style she has. 

I can not wait until we see each other again in the Fall!

Seth is such a personable guy! We had great conversations while we walked all over Mount Vernon capturing his senior portraits. He has a thing for wearing visors backwards and is proud of the achievements he's made in the sports he plays. Meeting Seth was wonderful! He really loved using the ideas I had and adding his personality to it! I was so excited he was so willing to take on all my poses and putting a 'Seth' twist on it.

Recently, Jonathan and I hiked out to Honey Run Waterfall to get some beautiful portraits of Jasmine! Jasmine REALLY wanted these waterfall shots for her senior portraits and we were blessed with the most perfect day to capture them for her! 

Jasmine is the perfect example that it is never too late in your senior year to get your senior pictures done. I loved getting to speak with her about her plans after high school. She is very much looking forward to furthering her education in southern Ohio at the end of the year!

Ladies and gents, we have a future boss lady on our hands! First of all, Chloe was a junior but worked really hard and had enough credits to graduate THIS year! ( uh, #amazing! Hello, senior status! ) So she is really inspired to get started on moving forward towards the future. She is so excited about what is next in her life. She is looking towards a business degree and possibly a degree that incorporates the arts! This session is just part one of her senior package. I can't wait until the spring when we photograph the rest of her senior portraits.

Emilie is such an accomplished young lady. Running? She's got medals for it. Gymnastics? She's got even more medals for it. But when I wanted her to tell me a little more about her accomplishments, she got pink in the face and was so incredibly humble about it... which I think is her greatest achievement. She's incredibly grounded and totally sweet. 

Even at dinner the other night, my brother said 'Oh I see you did Emilie's pictures! She's so nice!' and I couldn't have agreed more with him.

It was such a pleasure to meet Emilie and get to photograph her <3

I first met Mady and her family at one of my previous mini session specials. I am so happy to now get to photograph Mady's senior portraits. Mady is such a natural beauty! She has a kind spirit and is just so sweet. I adored getting to play up all of Mady's beautiful features. Her awesome curly hair, beautiful blue eyes... Ah! She is a natural model.

Late last fall was part one of Sage's senior session. Unfortunately due to rain, we had to finish up the last part of his session in the beautiful Spring but, in my opinion, it all worked out! Sage got some Fall foliage to go with his hunting gear and in addition he got spring color and warmth for his lakeside images!

Sage is a great guy. All American. Loves wrestling, hunting, and cars. I loved incorporating all his interests into his session.

Miss Taylor reminds me so much of Miranda Lambert. She has such a sweet personality but she knows what she wants. We did so many different looks during her shoot and I love them all! She looks so amazing!

To add to Katie's already awesome senior portfolio, she also wanted some rustic fall images for her collection! Katie brought along her letterman jacket and FFA jacket. I think the blue of that FFA jacket is so flattering on her! Soon, Katie will be back for her cap and gown session. I can't believe she's almost done with her senior year! So crazy!

The fall leaves were PERFECT for Alexa's senior session! Alexa brought so many various looks to her session. One is a hoodie representing her college of choice, another outfit went with the gun that has been in her family for quite a while and Alexa now uses!

LOVE LOVE LOVED this session! Along with the amazing locations, Colton was great to work with! He had his own ideas and kept us all laughing. Colton is an avid hunter and I was so jealous of his recent hunting adventure he told me about! I’ve known Colton’s family for a while and it is such an amazing moment to see Colton as a senior enjoying this year!!!
