It was expected to be a day of bad weather but we luckily beat the rain and got to do their stunning fall portrait session! We were lucky enough to get to do with session on a beautiful golf course that still had so much color. Little Violet loved the leaves and exploring the outdoors. It’s always such an honor to watch little ones discover new things. In this case, Violet loved the leaves and pumpkins! I’m happy I got to meet these new faces and provide them with some pictures to look back on for years!

Alice is one! Her parents LOVED the idea of playing on the idea of Alice in Wonderland for her first birthday portraits. I thought it was a brilliant idea. This little guy has been LONG awaited by his parents and their family! He has been named after his grandpas! (I love that!)

Many of little Jonathan’s images featured sentimental items. A hat and shoes from his grandpas, blankets from family members and a oneie that holds a quote that his parents fully believe, Jonathan was ‘worth the wait’!

I’ve known this couple since photographing their wedding years ago and this little miracle is truly a dream come true! <3

In 2015, I first met Annie’s parents. Annie was just a thought, a dream ‘down the road’ when we were photographing their engagement portraits and then their wedding day. I wish I could explain the feeling I felt when I was posing Kelli and Casey with their daughter. It’s like a proud, fulfilling feeling mixed with so much joy that they get to begin this experience of parenthood!

Annie is such a sweet little baby. Although she looks like a good mix of both mom and dad, I can tell you that the image of her smiling (below) makes her look SO much like her mama!

Kelli had one special request for her daughter’s portraits. Kelli wanted Annie to be in some Cincinnati Bearcat’s gear to represent the tradition between herself and her father of attending Bearcat games together that will now also include Annie! I just love an adore traditions and how that was represented in this shoot!

Hudson is back! Do you remember this little man?! Over 2000 people read his miracle birth story last year when I documented his birth (You can read about it here)

Hudson is such a sweet little man. I am so absolutely smitten with his smile and giggles. He was LOVING the cakes that he got to eat on. As you can see, one is for his traditional birthday and the other is celebrating his heart journey. His little fox you see with him in images is his ‘scar buddy’ that shares his same scars and lists Hudson’s diagnosis too. (This little fix is so cool and hudson loves him!)

I am so happy to get to see Hudson thriving and about to head towards his next heart adventure. God has made him a little champion and watching him grow is a testament to God’s strength and love.

The minute this sweet little boy walked through the door he was already giggling and smiling at me! He was SUCH a happy baby just laughing and in such good spirits. What a year, what a year! Opal is finally one and is feels like it came way too quickly! Opal has had a big first year. Her parents got married and was a flower girl and she just recently met Santa!

I have loved watching Opal grow during this first year. She is sweet and has some sass in her. You’ll also see one of her favorite stuffed animals, Dottie, in her first birthday pictures too. She LOVES that stuffed kitten!

I am so thrilled with how these first birthday portraits turned out with the wintry theme her mom wanted.
