I can not believe little Emmalyn is here! And she's already three months old! Her big sister, Adelie, used to not like getting her picture taken but we are friends now and I think we had fun!

Look at this birthday boy! Oh he was the sweetest little thing! He's brilliant too and even uses sign language every chance he can. I enjoyed meeting him! His mom even brought his favorite ball along and I loved getting to photograph his genuine happiness while he was playing!

Mason's mom loved the idea of simplistic portraits of Mason. I really loved the idea too. She wanted Mason to be the focus of the images and not props or backdrops. I could not have agreed more and I ADORE how these turned out. I kept the white and cream theme in line with the simplistic theme but also included minimal props to aid/entertain Mason in different ways.
I hope I get to see Mason again! He is such a sweetheart even while going through some teething he was still such a happy little guy!
The Spearman's are about to celebrate a first birthday! I loved getting to meet this kind family! Aren't they picture perfect? These little siblings are so sweet to each other. It was so funny watching them play with toys as mom, dad and a few more family members tried to help get their attention for pictures. Even when little brother joined in the cake smash at the end of the session, the birthday girl didn't mind. She was LOVING that her brother was having fun with her! PRECIOUS!

Years ago, we were in Bianca's backyard. Her older sister, Odalys was dressed in her beautiful Quinceanera gown and I was photographing her official portraits. Bianca, who was a young elementary student at the time, said "I can't wait for my Quinceanera! I'm going to have a red dress! I want you to photograph it!'
At the time, I was in the midst of building my business and I had no idea if I'd be around when she turned 15! (Just a small lesson to never doubt yourself!) So when the time came and Bianca's mom emailed me saying it was now Bianca's turn to celebrate, I couldn't help remember a little Bianca once predicting the future! This weekend, here I was, photographing her Quinceanera and she had her red dress!

I loved getting to meet the Richie family. They are funny, kind, and now have a new little blessing to add to their clan! Little Kenzley was amazing to photograph. Look at all that hair too! She has a very sweet big sister who loves her to the moon and back. Izabella was beyond excited to get professional photographs with her new little sister. I loved watching Izabella love on Kenzley! It was beautiful!
Their entire family is so wonderful! Look at them! I know that I loved getting to document this time in their lives and I hope to see them again as Kenzley grows and creates a personality that fits into their family dynamic!
Lana's sister was so sweet to think of a GREAT birthday present for Lana, a portrait session of Lana and her dogs! Like most amazing people, Lana thinks of her dogs as family. She loves each one of their different and wonderful personalities. These puppies are so loving and sweet. I loved getting to know each of them!
With all my clients, I try to understand their wants and needs for their session. Alli and Justin were very easy going but Alli had one request: if we could just find some flowers, she would be so happy!
I drove ALL over Mount Vernon and Knox County looking for flowers, specifically pink ones! I was so happy that storms and rain had not ruined the ones I found. I really wanted to deliver for my sweet clients!
Alli and Justin are such adorable parents already! This little girl will be on her way soon and I can not wait to photograph her very first portraits!
Little Harper is a hoot! With pearls and her sunglasses, I was cracking up over her sass and sweet giggles. Isn't her little hair bow adorable?! I loved getting to photograph this birthday girl. Happy birthday big girl! <3
Little Porter is such a wonderful baby! Blonde hair, big blue eyes and such a sweet demeanor. I was thrilled when Porter's mama told me about her idea for a Boss Baby themed first birthday session and cake smash!
I'm also so thankful Porter's mama let me use our little basin for a quick clean up which lead to some cute splash images. So I guess it was a first birthday smash and splash! haha :)
These three are such a cute little tribe! We lucked out with some beautiful weather when we were in the midst of a very cold mid-Spring. Looking at these images, I love how much love is shared between them. It was not very hard to get all the cuddling and snuggling out of these guys. They were all for it and it turned out beautifully! <3
Cam and Cooper were in studio not long ago! Their mom and I loved giving them a moment to be themselves on camera! She brought all their favorite cars and trucks and we had some fun. Cam was teaching me all about demolition derbies and even had his own derby with the Star Spangle Banner included! haha Yes, little Cam sang the national anthem before he proceeded to play hahaha
I loved getting to have this twist on a session.
What a group! A few years ago, I first met this family. Their sarcasm and dry humor filled the session and I realized this was a family I could vibe with. They were much like my own!
Lisa contacted me again and expressed that her children are starting to branch out into the world. Two are in college, another is venturing across the globe to teach English in a foreign country, and she wanted to be sure to get updated family portraits before it was too late and everyone was traveling!
I loved getting to see them again. I also love that they brought one set of dressed up attire and another of more casual tones. I'm so happy to see all of them happy and growing into who they want to become. <3
Oh my goodness! What a journey it's been! It wasn't long ago when we were photographing their first maternity images. Now they are preparing to welcome their second child! I love getting visits from the Gray family and can't wait to meet their little one.
Karsyn is pretty new to town! She came to the studio at a sweet six weeks old for some portraits of her and ofcourse some with her family! You might remember her mama from back in the winter for maternity portraits. I love the image of her in her daddy's arms! What a beautiful family. I loved getting to meet the entire family and photograph every one of them!
Sweet Isabelle is here and reigns as the little princess of the family! She has two older brothers who just absolutely ADORE her. They are so proud to be brothers to her and loved telling me all the little things she does. (Watching them mimick her facial movements was hilarious!) Her mom was so excited to have waited until Isabelle was born to find out she was a girl! Her mom didn't mind me bringing out all the girly colors and florals for Isabelle's first portraits!
Look at these beautiful ladies! The colors and love captured in this season is beyond wonderful! After we photographed the outfits they arrived in, I asked Abby if we could dress them in some pieces from our client closet! Ella was so excited and loved helping me choose what she wanted to wear. She's such a perfect model!
I loved the idea of a 'girls only' session that allowed them to have fun girly moments together that they will both remember and have these images to look back on!
