Alex's sorority and Tyler's fraternity were having a get together on campus and he thought it was the PERFECT moment to ask Alex to be his wife. Tyler invited family to come to the event. Tyler planned the perfect proposal. In front of everyone, he got down on one knee and now that Alex said yes, they are on an adventure to the alter. Planning to be done, choices to be made, and one thing is off their list: Engagement pictures!

Their campus at Muskingum U is so important to them so we captured favorite spots and locations around campus! I can not wait until their wedding day!

I was shocked to hear that Amanda and Bradley had traveled about two hours to join me for their engagement session! Well, they were amazing during their sessions. First, their outfits are PERFECTION! Secondly, they are so adorable and photogenic. I truly LOVED getting to photograph them! I loved getting to hear about how they met and their journey to this point. I am so excited that they have chosen ENV to photograph their November wedding next year! I can not wait!

Never have I ever photographed an engagement session at a vineyard but Cara and Nate made my dreams come true! Believe it or not, we had to delay this session for a few minutes because a brutal thunderstorm was working it's way through the area. Cara and Nate are so sweet and their story of meeting at a beach side resort is swoon worthy. <3

It was around this time last year that I photographed Alyssa's senior pictures. A year later, she's college bound and happy to share a life with her boyfriend, Preston. I was so happy to capture some images for them before she leaves for college.

Rachel and Cody are getting married in Gambier next year! We are kicking off our journey in documenting this part of their life together with some beautiful engagement images! I loved the chemistry between these two. I barely had to pose them. I complimented them on that fact and Cody just replies 'Just gotta act natural!' and he is soooo right! I wish every client understood this. Be yourself and I'll take care of the rest! ;)

Carlie and Cody are complete sweethearts! When we were going through the booking process, I asked about the location and Carlie REALLY wanted to photograph the session in Mohican. Cody proposed to Carlie on the gorgeous overlook in the park. I absolutely loved that I would get to photograph them in a setting that told part of their story. 

Sometimes we get lost in always wanting what 'Pinterest Penny' may have pinned or worry if our photos are clever, funny, different enough to get enough 'likes' online but these two didn't let that get to them. They were thinking about what they wanted 30 years from now. When they sit down and talk about these images, they will trigger memories of what they felt on the day of the proposal and remember what weather was like and what season it was. 

I hope these capture their happiness and suspense that comes with being engaged, counting down until they get their titles of husband and wife.<3

Ashley and Kevin are smitten for each other. It's absolutely adorable to see them interact with each other! This previous couple will be getting married in the Fall. With just a few short months until wedding day, I can't wait to photograph all the sweet moments they will have!

Oh my goodness! This engagement session was SOOO much fun, I can not even wait until their wedding day! It was really fun incorporating Scott's career into some of the images too. At least once a year for the last few years, I have met up with these two and their son for family portraits. Well, the time I have long waited for has come. Jim asked Samantha to marry him and she said YES! I was so happy and honored to be asked to capture their engagement images for them.

Jonathan and I are so completely overwhelmed and thrilled at the news we have received this morning. Aside from God and our children, we dedicate so much of our life to ENV. Day in and day out, I wake up with the satisfaction that in some small, small way, I make people happy.

To be listed among some of the most talented and spectacular photographers that I have looked up to for years, I feel so humbled and honored.

This is our second year as winners of this award and I could not be more thankful for our clients and supporters. Getting recognition like this only pushes me to work harder and create even better things. Thank you to those who have supported us whether you are a recent follower or you have been on this journey with us since 2010. There are not enough words for how immensely thankful we are. God is good.

Newly engaged and so in love, Aubrey and Jeremy are nothing but cute! They have so much to look forward to and are enjoying this new chapter of their life. These two genuinely enjoy each other's company. Just having them sit in a field and talk about their day with each other, they were naturally smiling and laughing. It was beautiful to watch and capture. It's no doubt that they can make a mid-December outdoor session look stunning!

If there is anything that got me through 2015, it was you. My clients, my cheerleaders, my endless abundance of support. Your love and kindness is everything that I needed. 

If you have followed my story, you know that starting this business in 2010 helped a 19 year old girl overcome her anxiety and depression. 

In 2015, the clients and supporters of this business helped a 24 year old woman feel her purpose and worth. Some days this business was the only reason why I got out of bed. I could say I am thankful for your 'business' but you've given me so much more than that.

I pray that 2016 will bless us all with so many wonderful, beautiful, happy moments. We hope to see you in 2016!

Vivian and Jon are high school sweethearts! What would be more appropriate than to capture their engagement images where it all started?! While we walked down the halls, Vivian and Jon gave me a personalized tour of their story. It was adorable! I really enjoyed getting to know them and how they fell in love.

Joe and Erin got both traditional fall portraits in their session but also included some images at their favorite hang out spot close to their home. I loved that they wanted to incorporate their daily, normal parts of life.

Last year was the first time I got to photograph this couple. We did this awesome Fair session with their pup and I LOVED it! This time, they chose fall for their pictures and I was so happy to get to photograph this beautiful couple again! They are having some great adventures together with new jobs, school, even fun on vacation and I could not be happier for them!

Megan and Zech are so sweet to one another. When I was photographing them, they would compliment each other constantly. They told me things that they really loved about each other and how they met. I loved getting to know them and their story!

I always love to hear about engagement stories! It's usually one of the first things I ask a couple about. Why? Well, honestly, it gives me an idea of who they are, what he thought would be meaningful to her or special for both of them.

Their engagement story started with going back to her home state in Colorado. They went hiking for the day with a picnic ready but HE had another plan in mind. Yep, he proposed to her in the mountain areas of Colorado (So jealous!) and she said yes!

These two music teachers fell in love while attending OSU, got engaged in the mountains and now are on the journey to planning their wedding day. (Which I am so honored to be apart of!)
